THE Bachelor’s Tara Pavlovic has fast become a fan favourite on the reality series, but it seems she’s been caught out in a live interview and accidentally admitted she doesn’t win.
Reports surfaced this week that claimed the 27-year-old continuously flirted with a “hot waiter” — identified as Derek Reiter — who provided service at the weekly cocktail parties during filming. It was also claimed the pair have been romantically linked since the show finished.
And during an interview this morning on Hit93.5 Dubbo, the bubbly Gold Coast native slipped up when she frantically tried to deny the rumours.
“There’s just a girl in there (the mansion) who keeps making up all these malicious rumours about me. I never gave Derek my number. The only time we’ve been in contact is when he contacted me about the article,” she began.
And as she kept explaining herself, she accidentally let slip that she had been eliminated.
“I didn’t give him my number in the house. I ran into him the weekend I got eliminated in Newtown and I was like, ‘Eh, Dezza! How’s it going mate? What are you doing?’”
Immediately, Pavlovic and the show’s hosts realised the valuable information that had just been spilt.
“Which position did you come in the show, Tara?” one of the host’s questioned.
Pavlovic tried to backtrack, joking: “Um. I won?”
As the hosts grilled her further, pointing out she just admitted she was eliminated, Pavlovic still attempted to deny what she said.
“I didn’t get eliminated in Newtown, when the show ended I was out in Newtown and he (Derek) was out,” she insisted.
Pavlovic — who is in the final three contestants — has become a favourite on the show, with fans on social media already threatening Matty J is he doesn’t choose her as the winner.
Is today’s admission a prediction of what’s to come in tonight’s semi final? We’ll find out in a matter of hours.
The Bachelor semi final airs tonight at 7.30pm on Ten.
