Counting suspended, leaving four key seats undecided

The WA Electoral Commission has said it will not count any Lower House votes on Sunday, leaving the fate of four key seats up in the air.

Nationals leader Brendon Grylls’ tenure in the seat of Pilbara is on a knife-edge, while former Liberal minister Joe Francis is battling to hang on to his seat in Jandakot.

In Kalgoorlie, the race is too close to call, and in Geraldton, no obvious winner had emerged when voting ended on Saturday night.

The count is expected to recommence on Monday.

Meanwhile, you can follow the count results and see the state of the parliament on our Election Live page.
