David Oldfield hasn't slept with Lisa for over a year

Alex Michael And Daily Mail Reporter For Daily Mail Australia

For most men, remembering the time and date of the last time they slept with their significant other probably wouldn’t be too shocking.

But David Oldfield could easily be forgiven for struggling to recount his last time with Real Housewives of Sydney star wife Lisa, given that it occurred over a year ago.

Turns out the 58-year-old former One Nation politician CAN remember the exact date of the January 2016 encounter and chances are it was ‘pretty wild.’

Speaking to The Sunday Telegraph this week, David took a page out of his more forthcoming wife’s book, dishing details on the embattled couple’s love-life – or lack thereof.

‘The 18th of January 2016 at about 7pm,’ he miraculously recounted to the publication, before making sure he clarified the situation.

‘We have in the past year made plans to do it, and then one thing leads to another and something goes wrong and it doesn’t happen.’

Interestingly, he also made sure to inform the interviewer that the date he provided was the last time the couple had slept with each other, and not necessarily the last time they’d slept with anyone.

Best laid plans: 'We have in the past year made plans to do it, and then one thing leads to another and something goes wrong and it doesn't happen,' the 58-year-old said

Justifying the 14-month hiatus, he offered: ‘We’re not 20 years old and like rabbits,’ before also citing the stresses of raising kids Bert, 4 and Harry, 6.

According to the personality, the last time he even slept in the same bed with Lisa was 18-months ago.

However, he did make sure to maintain his dignity by imploring the publication that when they do find time to make love ‘it’s pretty wild.’

The usually carefully spoken politician’s admissions saw him perhaps taking a leaf out of Lisa’s book, who has always been open about her marital issues with husband David on the show.

But on Sunday’s episode, things between the controversial couple appeared to be even worse than fans could’ve ever imagined as Lisa revealed just how tattered her family situation has become.

The drama started when the brunette businesswoman arranged a dinner between herself, David, her father, and her niece.

While things started off nicely, it didn’t take long for David to start taking digs at his wife for not cleaning the kitchen enough.

‘That’s not fair, you know I’ve been working my guts out lately,’ she responded.

‘I think David is angry because I’m not spending enough time with him and he does feel ignored, so he’s very much gone from being my biggest supporter to my biggest critic,’ Lisa said in her confessional.

David then complained that his wife doesn’t say how much she appreciates him enough.

‘I do, I tell you and I think that you’re an amazing dad. But you’ve gotta cut me a bit of slack, I feel like I cop it every time I get back,’ she pleaded.

David responded by listing all the things Lisa does wrong around the house, such as leaving the snake’s cage unlocked, before taking a jab at by implying she’s a witch who should ‘ride her broomstick.’

‘Oh f**k off,’ said Lisa, finally snapping. before adding: ‘Oh dear. I’m pretty much going to hell for that.’

David responded: ‘Yeah, probably before that I think.’

Trying to remain optimistic, Lisa said in her confessional: ‘At the end of the day we both want the same thing, which is a happy marriage back on track and two happy little boys.’

The brunette’s marital issues later came up again during a conversation with co-star Victoria Rees.

‘I’m really struggling,’ she revealed to Victoria. ‘I work really long hours, I travel a lot, and David just doesn’t seem to appreciate me anymore.’

‘I feel like I’m a failure as a mother and a wife,’ sighed Lisa. ‘There doesn’t feel like there’s any love or support there, and I feel very lonely.’

The hardworking businesswoman then expressed her frustration with being attacked by David for not doing enough housework when she’s the breadwinner of the family.

‘He just belittles me when he says “I’ve done your washing today, and I’ve done this that and the other.” Well I f***ing work my ass off and pay for the mortgage and everything else,’ she said, clearly frustrated with the situation.

She continued: ‘I love where we’re living, I love my children, I love all my animals, I love my beautiful home… I just hate the mongrel that I’m living with.’

‘My boys don’t seem to respect women, and that horrifies me. They have no respect for me at all. It’s like “you’re never here, you’re a bad mum.” ‘

At this point, the 41-year-old broke down in tears.

After seeing the pain her friend was in, Victoria decided that the best option was for Lisa to get a divorce.

‘At the end of the day, those boys love you,’ said Victoria. ‘But what you need to do is get out of that toxic relationship and move on because you will destroy those boys by staying there.’

The Bondi socialite then gave Lisa her lawyer’s contact details to help her along in the process.
