A woman blew almost eight times the legal alcohol limit after a peak hour crash on the Kwinana Freeway yesterday.
The 30-year-old from Trigg was was reported by other motorists when she crashed a blue VW Golf into an island at the freeway’s Farrington Street exit about 4.15pm.
One person removed the woman’s keys from the ignition because of concerns she had been drinking.
Police took the woman to Murdoch Police Station where she allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of almost 0.4. She was disqualified from driving immediately.
The alleged incident happened a day after a mother was stopped allegedly driving more than four times over the legal alcohol limit with two young children in her car in Karrinyup.
