When: March 18 from 1pm-7pm

What: Showcasing the positive aspects of Katanning’s cultural diversity. Experience something different, learn something new and taste something delicious. Free multicultural entertainment, flag and fashion parade, international food village, kids zone and market stalls and displays.


Event: Winos in Residence Sundowner with Mike Bennie, Liberté at the London Hotel 160-162 Stirling Terrace, Albany

When: March 24, 5pm-8pm

What: Wines left over from the Winos in Residence trade tasting session will be available to enjoy at bargain basement prices over the bar. Mike Bennie and the winemakers will be hanging around to help. Taste your way through Great Southern wine.


Event: Rockcliffe Night Market, Rockcliffe Winery, 18 Hamilton Road, Denmark

When: March 24, 5pm-8pm

What: Rockcliffe brings the best of Great Southern produce together in a market atmosphere. Meet local producers, enjoy presentations from Miguel Maestre as he cooks along with local favourite Anna Gare.


Event: Albany Farmers Market, Collie Street, Albany

When: March 25, April 1, April 8 from 8am-noon

What: A huge range of the very freshest seasonally available fruits, vegetables, farmed meat, dairy, cheese, fish, seafood, all from local farmers in the area.


Event: Silverstream Vineyard Tours and Tasting, Silverstream Wines, 2365 Scotsdale Road, Denmark

When: March 25-26; April 1-2; April 8-9 from 10am-2pm

What: Vineyard tours followed by Gratis Tasting plate and wine tasting.


Event: Taste of Dumbleyung and Bluebird Phenomena, Stubbs Park Sporting Ground, Bahrs Road, Dumbleyung

When: April 1 from 3pm-midnight

What: Showcasing food and wines from the Wheatbelt and Great Southern Regions with a variety of kids activities, music, free camping and many more activities throughout the event. The Bluebird Phenomena showcases the Bluebird replica and other artefacts in celebration of Donald Campbell’s 1964 World Water Speed record on Lake Dumbleyung.

Event: School Cook Off and Growers Lunch, Town Square, York Street, Albany

When: April 1 from 9am-2pm

What: Come and watch young people prepare local produce using their original recipes, buy produce they have grown in their school gardens and enjoy a casual light lunch while children complete the Treasure Trail in the Farmers’ Market.

Event: Graze Mt Barker, Galafrey Wines, Gilberts Wines, West Cape Howe, Arcadia Wines, Plantagenet Wines, Windrush Wines

When: March 4-6 from 11am-4.30pm (West Cape Howe 11.30pm-2.30pm)

What: Make your way around the wineries of the Mount Barker Region offering a graze plate of regional produce and glass of wine. Select an itinerary, visit all five cellars or just visit one. Bookings essential.

Event: Porongurup Wine Festival, Karrivale 153 Woodlands Rd, Porongorup

When: March 5 from 11am-5pm

What: Local wineries will present award winning cool climate wines. Enjoy live music, fine wines, local food stalls and entertainment. Watch culinary creations and demos with the One Wok Wonder and Anna Gare and Don Hancey or attend the Wine Masterclasses with Dan Wegener.

Cost: $22 or $25 at the gate (under 18 years free)


Event: Blues and Brews at Boston Brewery, Boston Brewery, 678 South Coast Hwy, Denmark

When: March 12 from 3pm-9pm

What: Blues music enjoyed with beers are made on premise and a focus on American Beers and American styled local produce with an emphasis on a barbecue smoker.

Cost: $48.10 adult; $11.50 child; $105.60 family


Event: Specialty Coffee Showcase – Origin Masterclass, Ravens Coffee Roastery, 1/7 South Coast Hwy Denmark

When: March 25 10am-11.30am

When: Delve into the sensory world of professional coffee tasting. Coffee from across the world will be compared, highlighting the unique flavour profiles of famous growing regions. As each origin exhibits its own terroir the masterclasses will show participants how to distinguish between them and develop a language to describe the sensory qualities of each coffee.

Event: Poachers Ridge Museum Collection Wine Tasting, Poachers Ridge, 1630 Spencer Road, Narrikup

When: March 25 11am, 1pm, 3pm

What: Join us for a special tasting of some of the rare and highly awarded museum collection wines spanning the past decade. Wines will include rieslings, marsanne, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. Cost includes a cheese or charcuterie plate plus a glass of wine of choice from the wine collection.

Event: In The Raw with Mike Bennie and Great Southern Shellfish, The Emu Point Boat Harbour

When: March 25 from 2.30pm-4.30pm

What: Chef Russell Blaikie and shellfish local Rob Michael take you through the Great Southern ocean with a selection of oysters, mussels and Akoya matched with wines from the region.

Event: Coffee Workshop 2 – Everything But Espresso, Stash Coffee Roastery 90 Walter Road Scotsdale

When: March 30 from 10am-noon

What: Showcasing the art of coffee brewing using diverse methods such as the V60, cold brew, Aeropress and French Press. Taste the different flavours of origin and get hands on experience of the interplay between grind size, dose, brew type and temperature.

Cost: $40

What: Cupping is a worldwide method for evaluating roasted coffee. In the cupping lab you’ll be led through a selection of coffees curated from award winning roasters worldwide.

Event: Albany Wine and Food Festival, Eyre Park Middelton Road, Albany

When: April 8 from 11am-6pm

What: Enjoy live music and get excited as Colin Fassnidge shares his inspiration from local produce on the cooking stage and learn at the wine seminar sessions. Entry includes a souvenir tasting glass, complimentary wine tastings. Wine and food is able to be purchased on site.

Event: Galafrey Wines Meet the Winemaker Masterclass, Galafrey Wines 432 Quangellup Road, Mt Barker

When: April 9 from 1pm-3pm

What: CEO and winemaker Kim Tyrer will take you sip by sip through a range of premium wines, educating but with fun and stories. Add some great platters of cheese, antipasto and a view over the the vineyard and it’s a perfect Sunday arvo.
