Police have released a composite image of a man they want to speak to after a man was stabbed in his head after chasing thieves in Middle Swan home in January.
A man was seriously injured in the attack, which happened after a home in Spiers Place was broken into about 1am on January 15.
Police say a group of men forced their way into the home and threatened the residents with the firearm.
After an altercation, the men ran off towards Toodyay Road, followed by a 48-year-old Eden Hill man.
The man was stabbed in his head and torso and was hospitalised with serious injuries. He was discharged from hospital later that month.
Police want to speak to a man who is described as being 25 to 30 years old with dark skin, a slim build and short, dark, curly hair.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
