After eight years of service, one of Bakersfield Police Department’s most devoted members retired from the force on January 5. Loyal K9 Bronx received a huge round of applause as he exited the department with his partner, Officer Chris Dalton. According to a post shared by the department, Bronx has been one of the longest-serving police dogs the agency ever had. Leaving the crime-fighting lifestyle behind him, Bronx is set to begin a more relaxed life at home with Dalton and his family. Bronx’s retirement video had racked up over 90,000 views at the time of writing. Credit: Facebook/Bakersfield Police Department via Storyful
