Meghan Markle’s half sister Samantha Grant is asking forgiveness from her soon-to-be royal sibling after several nasty public comments about her, and, she still hopes to be invited to the royal wedding.
Samantha, 53, oscillates between trying to endear herself to her sister who she says she hasn’t spoken to since 2014, and lashing out the soon-to-be royal.
Samantha says she is now seeking forgiveness from Meghan.
‘The last time we spoke – when I heard her voice – was 2014, almost 2015,’ the estranged half sister told the Mirror. In light of several negative comments she made about Meghan, she adds ‘I can only say to Meg, ”Forgive me.”

Samantha has been promoting her forthcoming memoir, ‘The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister,’ the title of which she says is not an insult to Meghan, but about ‘social perceptions and labels.’
She says she ‘wanted to show in the book that she [is the] opposite.’
However, as Meghan’s family all seem eager for an invite to the wedding, Samantha says her own invitation is uncertain.
‘I don’t know… I don’t know if she’s going to feel that my book is good. There’s a lot of misperception out there.
‘I’d be lying to say that I wouldn’t be hurt if I didn’t get an invite but that’s really up to her.

Outspoken: Samantha is asking for forgiveness from her half-sister after a series of negative comments about the Suits star
‘That’s her day. It’s her special moment. And I would love to be a part of it. But, I think, possibly she might also understand that it’s not easy for all of us to get there. But if we can, we will.’
She adds: ‘It would be pleasing for us to be there and be invited. But it’s entirely her decision.’
Samantha recently made comments about that $75,000 dress Meghan wore for her engagement announcement photos with Prince Harry.
She told In Touch ‘If you can spend $75,000 on a dress, you can spend $75,000 on your dad.’
It has not been announced if Thomas Markle will be walking his daughter down the aisle St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, Berks, but he recently told the Mirror ‘I’d love to.’
Samantha also opened up about previously urging Meghan to help their father out financially, while the American actress was making money.
She recounted ‘There was just a time when – and it’s funny – we were on the phone. It was probably not my place to say but I was just saying, ”Hey, help Dad with some of that money for school now you’re making a lot of money.”
‘I think at that time she wasn’t that pleased about what I had to say.
‘And she said, ‘There are too many cooks in the kitchen, babe’.
Speculation: Prince Harry and Meghan are set to marry on May 19, and since announcing their engagement, rumors have been rife about exactly who will walk her down the aisle

Samantha added, ‘It wasn’t a handout. Nobody was asking for money. It’s like, ‘You’re doing really well, help Dad with some of that money back… I love her but she should help Dad.’
At the end of the day however, Samantha says that very last time they spoke years ago, they ended on a positive note.
‘Her last words were, ‘I love you, babe. I’m really glad we had this conversation. Keep in touch’.
But, while Samantha is holding out hope for an invitation to the big day, she gushes to the Mirror that Harry is ‘quirky and cute, and perfect’ for her little sis.
‘They are very charming together. He has a noble heart. Samantha adds that she can’t wait to see their children.
‘They’ll be elf-like, cute, funny kids that always look like they have a secret – giggling and charming.
‘Little pointy noses. I think they’ll be adorable and funny and intelligent. I can’t wait to see them.’
Samanatha also backtracked on comments she made after Harry made a comment just after Christmas saying the royals will be the family Meghan ‘never had.’
She tweeted at the time: ‘She has a large family who were there for her. No one was estranged, she was just too busy.’
Now, Samantha says, ‘I was just clarifying it wasn’t family she never had, it was the family gathering with kids running around at a holiday all together she never experienced, because we were all working and spread out.
‘Socio-economics in America demand that family members work. I guess because they’re royal they can have that and that’s incredible.’
