Exmouth residents and businesses are being urged to have their say about the town’s future as the Shire reviews its strategic community plan.
The Exmouth 2030 strategic plan would guide council decision making for the next 10 years and inform the Shire’s business and financial planning, workforce strategy and asset management plans.
Shire of Exmouth chief executive Cameron Woods said Exmouth 2030 aimed to identify long-term vision and strategy to help achieve comm-unity aspirations.
“We started our community consultation during the 50 Years Celebrations and got some really valuable feedback, particularly from our young people, about the desire for Exmouth to remain a healthy and safe place for families,” he said.
“Some of the other themes we would like to explore with the community over the coming months are economic development, the environment, governance and leadership and social development. With a new council on board and a revised management structure, the review process provides the perfect opportunity to reassess our priorities and business plans, and ensure our actions are aligned with the needs of the community.”
Mr Woods said public consultation opportunities would be advertised on noticeboards, Exmouth Info and Facebook.
