Swimmers warned of whale carcass

Department of Fisheries marine issues are urging water-goers and anglers to avoid Alexander Point, near Esperance, after a whale carcass washed up on the shoreline.

A shark advice was issued after the carcass was discovered this morning.

The department have warned swimmers the decomposing carcass could attract sharks to the shore.

Any shark sightings should be reported to Water Police on 9422 8600.
