Your guide to First Ashes Test at the Gabba

EVERYTHING you need to know about the First Ashes Test between Australia and England at the Gabba in Brisbane from November 23 – 27.

Play times:

Coin toss: 9.30am (Day 1 only)

First Session: 10am-Midday

Second session: 12.40pm-2.40pm

Third session: 3pm-5pm

Gates Open

Day 1: 7.30am: Members. 8am: General Public

Days 2 &3: 8am: Members. 8.30am: General Public

Day 4: 8.30: Members. 9am: General Public

Day 5: 9am: Members & General Public

Corporate Gates (1, 3, 4A, 6, 8, 10 & 11) 9am daily

Tickets:

Adult : $30 – $115

Junior (4-15 years): $10 – $30

Family of 4 (price per ticket): $16.25 – $39.50

Deluxe: $195

· NB: Day 1 close to sold out

Gate 2: (Main Street)

Gate 4 & 7: (Vulture Street)

Gate 9: (Stanley St)

Tickets box opens 30 minutes before public gates open.

Don’t forget the November 25 is election day in Queensland

Polling booths: It’s best to pre-poll but otherwise there’s enough time before play starts, at the lunch break or even on your way home to cast your vote:

· East Brisbane State School Hall, Wellington Rd (directly outside eastern end of venue)

· St Pauls Anglican Church Hall, 554 Vulture St, East Brisbane

· Nazareth Lutheran Church Hall, 12 Hawthorne St, Woolloongabba

Public Transport:

It’s best to purchase your ticket before you head to the Gabba because every entry ticket includes free public transport from 8am on all regular Queensland Rail and Brisbane Transport bus services.

What you can take into the ground:

* Small cameras (incl mobile phones)

* Sealed bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles

* Home packed food

* Jackets/Ponchos

* Soft/cloth Eskys

What you are NOT allowed to take into ground:

· Photo and video equipment

· Unsealed bottled beverages

· Alcohol & dangerous/illegal substances

· Bag over the dimensions of 40 x 40 x 40cm

· Cans, glass & crockery

· Hard shelled eskys

· Commercial food and beverages

· Flares, fireworks and laser pointers

· Large posters (bigger than A3) and/or banners

· Items that cannot be placed under a seat

Free cloak service inside

· Cloak rooms are located inside venue at Gate 2, Gate 4, Gate 5, Gate 7 and Gate 9.
