A brawl broke out at a pizzeria in Newark, California, on Saturday, January 13, over a supposedly stolen cell phone that had been turned in to the restaurant’s lost and found box just a few hours earlier. According to the Newark Police Department, the fight, which occurred shortly after 9 pm at John’s Incredible Pizza Company, erupted when the mother of a girl who lost her phone was attacked when she asked another group at the restaurant if they had seen the cell phone. Footage of the fight shared to social media shows a number of people shouting and throwing punches as staff attempt to disperse the crowd. When police arrived, the manager of the pizzeria handed the cell phone to police after realizing it had been turned into lost and found earlier that day. Only minor injuries were reported and no arrests were made. A video of the brawl shared to Facebook earned more than 418,000 views at the time of writing. Credit: Facebook/Nicole Davis via Storyful
