Tiffany Scanlon still “absolutely adores” ex-girlfriend Megan Marx.
At the Ku De Ta sneak peek on Wednesday night, the former Bachelor contestant sat down with AAA for her first interview since Marx announced they had parted ways this month.
“The strain of everything being in the media was making us both really unhappy,” she said.
“By the time she started to feel like she was sinking, I was already sunk.
“There is no dirty laundry. I think it was fairly mutual, but I was certainly feeling the pressure of it longer.”
Scanlon launched her blog The Tiffany Times yesterday with a post titled The Time I … Paid the Price of Fame — which revealed she had suffered depression for the “better part of my adult life”.
She also disclosed that she and Marx had been discussing their own TV series with RatPak entertainment for their own TV series to educate people on same-sex relationships and sexual fluidity, a book deal sharing the “intimate details” of their story and creating an underwear line, Miffties.
Despite the break-up taking a mental and physical toll (she stopped eating and “didn’t leave bed for two weeks”), Scanlon said she was hopeful to rekindle her friendship with Marx.
“If things hadn’t ended when they did, we probably never would have been able to be friends,” she said.
“It did start with a friendship — a really fun and good friendship — and it would be amazing to get that back.
“She’s an incredible woman. She’s very magnetic. I still absolutely adore her,” she said.
Stepping out at her first big event since the split, Scanlon said she was channelling Sandy from Grease in her skin-tight outfit.
“She comes out at the end of that movie feeling really good about herself — she’s sexy, she’s showing him what he’s missing,” she smiled.
“Obviously I’m still finding my feet again, but I think things are on the up. Life goes on, it has to.”
