You’ve heard of Myth Busters – and now meet a meth buster.
Peter Bryce is hired by Perth residents to check their homes for traces of methamphetamine.
“It is horrifying yes and it’s just not safe for people to be in some of the houses that they’re actually currently occupying,” Mr Bryce said.
“People would normally do a pre-purchase inspection for white ants but we do it with meth.
“Because of the extent of contamination in houses that we’re finding, people move into a house and basically they get sick.”
And did you know a common place to produce methamphetamine was the bathroom?
“Our testing is on basically most rooms in the property but definitely the wet areas,” Mr Bryce said.
“That’s because they’ve got hard surfaces, they’ve got water, electricity and they’ve got sinks or drains for disposal of some of the chemicals.”
